Job Description

Peacock Nails is a professional nail salon hiring “receptionists,” also known as “Front of the House Representatives.” Our team is rapidly growing and we’re searching for part-time team members to manage our front desks, welcome guests, and assist with a variety of administrative/customer service-based tasks. Workplace scheduling is flexible, but we prefer applicants be able to work a full 8-hour shift (9:30am – 6pm or 10am – 6:30pm) on specific days

Compensation: $20/hour

Commission: based off of sale upgrades during check-in process; more details will be provided during training

Duties (include but are not limited to):

    • Counting daily cash upon clocking in and out of shifts
    • Greeting all guests with a welcoming attitude
    • Checking essential inventory and restocking when possible 
  • (ex. milk for pedicure is low – walk to plaza store to purchase using company card)
    • Checking-in guests using our online appointment system Zenoti
    • Maintain a tidy and presentable area with all stationery materials
    • Ensure that snack and beverage stations are always stocked throughout shift
  • includes refilling ice and making fruit infused waters throughout shift
  • restocking all the snacks in their containers
  • encouraging guests to enjoy the complimentary items
    • Escorting guests to designated technician stations when techs are too busy
    • Assisting with informing guests of pedicure protocols, etc.
    • Answer phone calls, reschedule appointments and manage online bookings
    • Serve water/tea/coffee and snacks to guests. 
  • If receptionist is above the legal age of 21, they can assist with serving alcohol
  • Collect cash, credit card, gift certificate payments, checks, and more
  • Remain calm during high-stress situations or large-crowded spaces
  • Create a fun, inclusive environment for the technicians and customers
  • Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail/deliveries
  • Keep inventory of supplies that our management team should purchase
  • Perform other duties such as photocopying, managing our Spotify Playlists

What We’re Looking For:

  • Ideal candidates have experience working in customer service based positions
  • Be able to stand and walk for long periods of time

Attire:

  • Receptionists are the first people guests interact with, Peacock Nails requires that all employees in this position maintain a business casual and/or appropriately trendy casual attire

Training is an essential part of our workplace environment and will be provided to each hired member. Trainers all have different teaching styles, but will work with each person to ensure that they are given the best possible training. 

Speaking Vietnamese and/or Spanish is a plus, but not required to apply for this position!
